I need to replace one of the hard lines on the steering rack of my 95 Explorer (rusted out and leaking). I find it hard to believe that I will have to replace the entire rack as the lowest replacable unit! Unfortunately the local Ford dealer doesnt list the line and the 12/1.75 thread is not a common brakeline type thing that I could make up myself. Suggestions appreciated.
Now let me step up on my soap box and say it seems insane that I bought an american truck that was extremely popular and have to suffer when I need to make an otherwise simple repair!! cmon Ford! if I wanted a foreign truck with no parts support I would have bought one!!
