05's first service
First guess was I bought some bad fuel somewhere, but I don't think that's what it was. This is my first diesel in a pickup, I think it should be doing better. It now has 6400 miles on it.
Dealer couldn't find anything. So they re-flashed the computer. Wish he
asked me first....
I told them about the 13.5 qts of oil, instead of 15, and told him to check broadcast messages 1512 and 1574. He said those date back to 1993, and have nothing to do with the 6.0 PSD. I think he's looking at TSB's.
Does anyone have a copy of these messages so I can show him??
Tnks,
Most dealers wont spend a lot of time analyzing if there isn't something throwing codes. It's the way Ford pays them for warranty. They only get paid for the fix, not the analysis.
