I own an '04 F250 PSD with a DR 6" kit. I am experiencing a squeaking noise from both doors (pass. & driver) at highway speeds (50+). I think I narrowed it down to the door seal @ the crew cab door divider seal. I rubed a light coat of lubricant on the seal, where it appears to be rubbing to a chalky white color and coincidentally it quieted down....again it may have been coincidence. It gets annoying enough that I need to turn up the radio to drown it out. I know people have complained about window rattles, yet I am 99.9% certain that is not the problem. Has anyonehadthis problem and how did they take care of it? I have not contacted the dealer yet.
It looks like you need to take it back to the dealer and let them adjust the doors or check the seals.
I haven't heard of the new ones getting that much road noise. Mine, on the other hand, needs to be rubbed quite often with that truck chapstick to quieten it down, but I don't bother with it anymore. It's a '99.
I used to get to worry about my drivers door squeek. Then I put on my lift, with these damn loud tires. Now I can't even hear my bloody stereo. just joking.
Good luck fixing it. My experience is you'll drive yourself nuts trying to fix noises in a 6000 lb truck. As soon as you fix one noise, something else is going to start to jiggle.
There was a post in TDS about this very problem...There was a inexpensive fix..I can't remember off the top of my head what it was..go there and do a search for "door squeak".
