make your headlites glow in color. when your parking lite are on, will also put a color tone to your headlites.
1. buy some colored led lites if you can find 12 volt its easyest if not 5 volt is easy to find then get some resistors use ohms law. 12volt minus 5 volt=7 volt divide by .03= 233 ohm resistor the led has one longer leg than the other that is pos. solder the resistor to pos side then a piece of wire to both sides then take shrink heat tubing and cover each side up to bottom of led. then one piece over both wires to bottom of led. now remove front grill screws are in front of rad. then take a drill bit the same size as your led and drill a couple holes in plastic headlight case one at top one at bottom on the side of case then insert led dont shove it in to far. then silicone around the holes, run a ground to all lites to ground then run a pos wire and tie it to your pos wire to parking lites i removed my washer box to get to it, tidey up your wires and your done o put your grill in my truck is blue so i used blue leds and in late after noon when your parking lites are on they will glow. can also see slight color to headlites also.
That's an awsome idea, got any pics? would love to see what they look like, meanwhile I'm going to check on the legallity issue for here in Mich., I don't know how well blue lights would go here, esspecially since I get pulled over for lift every time I leave the Driveway almost, although I could wire 'em up on a seperate circut so that they are only on when I'm showing her.
if you want blue headlights, just get the euro dezigns blue headlights... i picked up a set on ebay for 20 bucks... shipping and all... and that was the "Buy Now" price lol but i love em... the headlights are CRAZY bright, and they definately are blue, but not like a DEEP royal blue... but they are 100% legal, and are definately worth the time they even make the reflection inside the lens blue when the lights arent on... giving it a unique look even in the daytime
Yeah, I've got the blue headlights also, In facy we probably got'em from the same guy off EBAY cause I paid $20. bucks plus shipping to. but I was looking for the glow without the headlights on, I just think that it would look way cool. Thanks for looking out for me though.
yeah i can see wanting it to glow at all times, but they actually make kits that do this exact same procedure... if you want the BEST out of anything you do to your headlights, make sure you get the diamond clear lenses, or altezza style headlights... the factory frosted ones suck! im dying to change mine, everything gets brighter, and you will see the color more
