That's where i'm headed. How do you like living there so far? Do you know of any cheap rentals in the area? My flight for honolulu is for Feb 4 and I should be arriving in Hilo about the 6th or 7th. All I'm bringing is two bags. My Bronco will probably be shipped some time in the next week or so.
I now live in Hilo after a year or so in Kailua-Kona.
Our Family is also making the move, some are already there..
I am curious about Hilo, Isn't it wet all the time?
Also a little worried about my teenage son making the adjustment, He is as blonde as they come
Hilo, although wet, gets rain mostly at night. The days are quite nice unless there is a storm or something.
For the past 4 days we've had 84°-88° weather, clear skies and dry air. Perfect weather!! It is not out of the ordinary either. You will have cloudy days and of course rainy days but it is not as wet and rainy as most would have you believe.
There are many white folk here so don't worry too much about fitting in.
