Will a 1980 auto from a wagon be the same bolt pattern as a 300 or 302.Iwant to put it in my 77 s/b with a 300-6.Any help would be great.I have an auto in it now.The auto trans is hooked up to a 255
Well, I'm not a tranny man, but the info here and at other sites says that the bell to block pattern for 289 302 351 etc matches the 300 six. The 255 was the same block as the 289-302, so I can't see them making a different bolt pattern for the bell on that couple of year's production. Perhaps a Ford parts man could be of assist? Or a tranny shop guy? You should have it checked before you bolt it up anyway.
