I have the 226 flat 6 with the factory 4 speed. I have not seen any sources for the power steering pump brackets. Do you think there is a PTO Hydraulic setup from a truck dump bed that could be used for the power steering using a toyota conversion?
Easier to either make a bracket or use an electric PS pump. I doubt that your lightweight 3 speed has a pto port on it, and the pto drive and pump are going to be fairly expensive. Have you got the toyota box yet? I've got 2 freebies, but havn't had time to pick them up yet.
With these old PTO's you can't drive the truck with the PTO on or you will wreck the pump or break the PTO shaft. My truck had an electric hoist it's basically a starter motor attached to a small pump but I think it would burn out under continous use.
I actually have a 4 speed, it does have the opening on the side for the PTO. It is the same transmission that is in the larger truck from what I can tell.

The main thing that is limiting you is the max RPM you can run the PTO at is 1500 rpm. At that the PTO will chatter really bad. Also since the PTO is ran off the tranny gear cluster you would not be able to shift the tranny without grinding horribly. I had a PTO for these trannys but I gave it away.
