My CD Changer doesn't seem to be working correctly. I'll load the cartridge up with all 6 CDs, put it in, and when I switch the source on my stock deck, it searches for the CDs but doesn't find anything. Should I just get a new system? The stock deck sounds pretty good to me and I don't really need much more than that.
May seem like a dumb answer, but did you put them in in the correct slot and in the right direction? You have to partially pull out the CD holder from the 6 CD cartridge.
Okay, I have the Compact Disc MAgazine in my hand. There should be six little white tabs at the bottom of the magazine. you have to slide these out about 3" and place each CD in its respective white holder. Then slide the holder back in. Notice: the white holder does not come out of the magazine. My wife missloads the CD's too and it searches and comes up with nothing.

I'm not totally sure about this. But you may have a seperate cd behind the stock radio unit. (that's what I heard when I was trying to wire in my XM). Anyway, try pulling the stock radio out (using DIN Tools, about $3 at wally world) and checking the wires plugging into the head unit (stock radio). https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...highlight=pie+
This thread has lots of info. Some really not relevent to your case, but there is a post on the first page (I think), that will show you how to do a self diagnostic test on the radio.
