For those of you who have dual batteries stock, where is the second one located? Can you snap a pic? I'm considering adding one to my '04 f250 5.4l.
FYI: I've played with big car stereos when I was a kid, participate in amature radio, plow snow, and have had offroad lights on previous vehicles. I've added a second battery to both of my last two vehicles and neither one has ever had an electrical problem. I hear a lot of people talking about high output alternators, capacitors, and so on and so forth. For my $$ nothing has ever worked as well as dual large batteries, and a well maintained electrical system(adequate wire, good grounds).
(I don't know where the stock single battery goes on a gasser, but you should be able to figure out any differences by looking at that picture and knowing what's under your hood.)
Do you think that'll work with a K&N Filter kit? I don't have the stock airbox anymore so I'm wondering if that'll work or not. I just installed some lights on my truck and could use a lil' more juice and that looks like a great setup.
Funny you should ask that. I asked that very question. Here is the response. Stan is a pretty good guy for responding to questions.
"Hi Tom, how are you doing?
You can either call the order in or order over the internet and get free
shipping. I don't know about the K&N filter kit, but there is no reason it
should interfere."

Hmm, well maybe I'll wait and see how yours turns out (ha ha) since you have a similar setup. Not sure how the 5.4 sits in the engine compartment vs. the 6.8 but maybe you can post some pics up after you get it setup?
Thanks for the info though, I'm gonna give those guys a call.
I did get the kit but I have not had a chance to install it yet. No garage to work in and its been pretty cold up here. It looks like a nice quality kit though. I am saving up my installs for spring time.
