Smile PROGRAMMER / CHIP / EXHAUST?? which one?

Hey Guys,

I have been reading your forums, when ever I get the chance. I been looking, but there is too many posts. I read up about 15 pages trying to find some good input and decided to just post a question.

I am wondering what type of chip or programmer I need or in your guys opinion, what is the best for the money. I want it to be the fastest and or the most horse power, but I tow every now and then too, so I would like to be able to down tune it when I need to. I have a 2002 F350 7.3 extended cab, dually. automatic. I have a tymar air intake, which I like a lot and was recommended by you guys, but the rest of my truck is stock.

I was considering the banks stinger plus, with a six gun, or just a six gun, or I heard other hypertech or bully dog programmers are just as good. But it seems that they are all expensive, especially the Banks stuff. Please reply and give me some opinions on a good programmer for less money or if it is worth it to spend the extra money. Or would you guys recommend exhaust first over a programmer. ??

Thanks in advance.

Exhaust first. Then gauges. Then you can start looking at chips or programmers. Build the foundation before the house. Get a good 3.5" or 4" downpipe and a 4" exhaust system. Then get your gauges, EGT ( pyrometer ) boost and trans temp if you have an auto ( or if you have a 6-speed and really like gauges ). At that piont you are ready for a chip or tuner. Shop the vendors here, see what you like and what has the features you want.
