Would this be good?

I am looking for a old truck to hotrod, And today i found a 1977 ford f-100 ranger with a 360 and a single cab. It ran strong would this be good to hotrod they only want $700 for it

Yeah it should work out for you. 77 is a great year and the 360 should be a good performer with the right mods. Only one thing you might want to check would be the power steering setup. If it is a garrison type(looks like a hydraulic cylinder) they are prone for leaking, just generally being a pain in the butt and expensive to fix/replace. Other than that 77's are fairly straight forward easy to work on trucks and look great when fixed up.

I agree. I received more compliments on the 77 I had then any other vehicle I have owned since. Mine was almost all stock too, just some stripes and wheels painted red. Man, I miss that truck
