I'm tryin to remove the govenor from my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0 ffv and i don't know how to exactly who ever had it before me took it off and when i took it for my first oil change they ''Fixed It'' but i liked it better b 4 when i could run 118 mph hour and out run the 4.0s and small blocks can anyone shed lite on this 4 me. Thanks
Nope, its computer controlled as Rockledge mentioned. I don't really think I'd want to drive that fast in a Ranger anyway. My Mustang? Sure, it hardly feels like you're going that fast. I'm perfectly content just motoring around under 80 or so in the truck. I'm not entirely confident that the suspension or brakes can handle 100+ mph speeds.
I have spent alot of money in my truck i have a bed cover w/high speed functional wing I lowered it with bilstein shocks and coils in the front and double shackled in the back and upgraded the discs and rotors the trouble is my funds ran out i have maybe 200.00 bucks left in my savings account and my wife won't let me touch our checking so i would really like to know and the steering gear box has been lowered for high speed controled steering so it's is built for speed. Trust me and i have new tires my wife got me for christmas. They r s rated for 128 mph. please someone help me
Its not that no one is helping you, its that there is nothing short of a chip program that is going to allow your ranger to go past... let me guess 90 mph. Save up for a few more weeks and get a chip or a tuner. No secret is being kept here, I promise.
i don't have any pics but i will soon it's smooth though 16'' chrome rims decked with chrome and black is all windows r blacked out and the back window has a checkered flat and the bed cover has a checkered flag on it with strait pipes sounds as good as most v8's supercab black.
Hey now, take it easy on him...
As long as it isn't one of those goofy looking 3 foot tall triple-decker ricer specials and done right, he may be on the right track.
Funniest thing I ever saw was one of those $250 wings fly off the back of a Sentra doing 70 on the hiway. Plus, since he's RWD, the wing is indeed in the right place to help keep the rubber to the ground.
