Something wrong with steering

There is something wrong with the way that my truck steers. I was wondering if someone could help me diagnose this problem. It is only noticable when turning. When I turn to the right, it feels like something is making the steering harder. Also when coming out of a turn, the steering wheel doesn't come back to center and the truck steers to one side. When going straight, the there is no pull and it drives straight. If I turn the wheel a little, it stays in that position and the truck stays in a turn. I don't think anything has been replaced in the front end. I also noticed the last several weeks a clunk noise in the left front end when backing out of my driveway or going through a large dip. It seems to me that this is a ball joint, or could it be a tie-rod end?
Thanks
Tim

Are there any leaks or noise from the power steering pump? Have the tie rods checked, they are a known problem. It might be something else, but get them checked so you can rule them out. Do a search here for "tie rods" for more info.

It could also be a ball joint seizing up. You can probably pinpoint it by lifting the front of the truck, disconnecting the tie rod ends from the steering knuckles and then turning everything back and forth to see if there is one ball joint or tie rod end that's stiff.
