OBD-II code reader

Hi,

Would anybody have any recomendations for a good OBD-II code reader for my 98 E450 Superduty with the 7.3 Turbo? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you thought about a programmer? many of the tuners available now will read your codes as well. I don't know about the OBDll but why not be able to tune as well as check for trouble.

What exactly does a programmer do? Are there any certain models you would recomend? I'm on a bit of a buget, but I'd like to get something that can read the codes for the truck that would hold up and last a while, but I've been having some problems that have been giving me the "Service Engine Soon" light, and I would like to figure out what exactly the code is. Thanks again for your reply.

I was also wondering... I've been looking around and I was wondering if anybody could tell me what the quality of the Equus - Innova 3100 OBD II code reader is? Have people had a pretty could experience with the Equus brand in general?
