I used to own a 1981 Chevy Shortbox with a 305 ... and loved the scene for muscle trucks of the 80s
and was wondering why you dont see more v8 2wd fords built the same?
I currently have 81 F100 for my project truck and was thinking of doing something similar
not an 80s but my friend had a 49 or 51 f100 with a mustang motor in it, it was done up real nice and was sweet looking. he thought the 302 wasnt big enough so he swapped a 460 in there, havent heard from him in a long time dont know if he ever finished the swap but that would be one sweet truck. i know of a lot of rangers that were setup for that too. my last truck was a 89 gmc 1500 flareside 2wd with a 350chevy in it, sports trucks rule!!
We are kinda doing something like that but we are going the prerunner look
85 f150 efi 302 4spd, cab visor
mods to come are: step side box, rollbar, spare tire holder, front desert bumper, 31 inch tires and maybe a 2" body lift.
oh and i forgot, as many offroad theme stickers on the body as we can get along with somekind of paintjob. Ive done trucks the street look now we want to try this out.
