Question Removing Bumper Bolts

I'm swapping a chrome bumper onto my 1980 F350 and I'd like to know how I can remove the chrome bolts without damaging them because I've had trouble before taking them off because you can't get a wrech on the end of them. If anyone has any ideas it'd help. Thanks.

Im not familiar with the location since im new to ford but try soaking them for a bit with penetrating fluid. Then use heat and if you can get a impact socket on them that may work.

Pretty much what 85 said is all you can do. The bumper bolts have a square shank that fits in the bumper and if it rounds at all your best bet is to grind the heads off and try to bust them out with a chisel.

I am planning on making a set of custom bumper bolts as well as other bolts that start with a regular heavy duty bolt. I want to cut the head off and weld on a wrench so when you look at it all you see is a wrench where the bumper bolts are. Just think it would look cool since im a fleet maintence tech for a trucking company
