I really enjoy the thought and personal design touches you put into your rig. I vote to leave it unless your first instinct tells you not to.
Keep in mind the paint you will apply to these pieces will never be as good as what came on your truck. pH levels (basic/acidic) of splattered bugs, bird doo, and rock chips will eat through it faster than you may anticipate.
The grill inserts look great but I would paint the gray parts of the grill the same color as your truck. There is a white one in the forum that was done this way and looks great!
I am going to paint mine to match the truck color, arizona beige.
I painted mine and am happy with it but I think yours looks great as is. I still need to see how the paint holds up after putting more miles on the truck. Pics in my gallery. I also would like to thank you for your service to the country.
With your truck being dark green, I think it would look good to leave it as is. Dark green and dark gray are too close in color to accent. {OF} Smiley has a med toreador red and he painted his to match. Looks good.
