tire size increase/speedo

I just put on 285/75r/16 dick cepeks on my 2003 f-250. Stock tires were on it were 265/75r/16. Will I need a speedo recalibration? Also will just disconnecting the battery solve the issue and relearn itself that way?
I'm not sure how much the difference will be between the two tire sizes.

on my '02 350 I jumped to the 295's and now the speedo is dead on. I think Ford has the speedos run faster so we are out of warrantee that much sooner.

yeah, its funny how speedo roll back is against the law...and no one but us cares about accelerated mileage recording!?!?!?!

With a tire size as close to stock as yours is the tranny will still think it is going 60 when it is actually going 62-63 (if speedo was correct to begin with). With a 20% increase in tire size you will notice a tremendous speedo difference and your tranny (clutch pads) will begin to hate you.
