I have a need here and was thinking someone could help me. My brother rescued a tornado damaged truck and did a cab clip and near total restoration on it. It was originally a 400 truck and he is a 460 nut. He needs all assesory brackets for a 1977-1979 ford truck 460, ac, alternator, power steering you know the works. He is a real good builder but a stickler for originality hence he does not really want miss mached car brackets but rather a true set out of a truck. I imagine he might by now consider less. Any help would be deeply appreciated and would allow one of these old classics to roam the earth once again. I really don't know how he has stood having new paint weather stripping interior and such a beautiful truck and not be able to drive it, but he refuses to make the brackets. How about it any idea's on what might get him going or better yet a organ donor truck around the midwest area. Thanks for your help, Sharps-Nut
Where in the midwest are you located and have you hit all the salvage yards in your area? I'm in the SE Kansas area and there are a few yards around with late 70's trucks I will be looking for some parts for myself this week and if I find any I'll let you know.
Crew cab, this must be dumb luck. The truck I refer to came from the Parsons tornado. So southeast kansas is exactly where the truck lives. If you make any 460 truck finds please do let me know and I will pass the information on to my brother. When I went to PSU years ago that slavage yard out on like 20th and rouse in pittsburg was the old vehicle yard. He got weird there for several years and would not hardly sell anything, if he is still open he would be a good one. I can look up the number if your search does not net you your parts or if you are unfamiliar with the yard I am refering to. Thanks & to the rest of you I will investigate L&L, thanks for all the information. Sharps.

Reason: left out data
I know the yard you are talking about it's in the rear of the the superior wheel factory
I don't know if it still open but I'll be on my way to Pittsburg today and I'll drive by and see. The yard I'm talking of are in Joplin I'll also be there today and I'll check and see.
If you want sent me an e-mail and I'll e-mail any info.
