Exhaust

Any of you ever dump your exhaust in front of the rear wheels? I have a 84 f150 King cab short box. My concern is that being so close to the cab I will get allot of exhaust smell abck in the cab.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I have an F-250 longbed 4x4, and it's in front of the wheels. Just make sure that the exhaust points towards the rear. Mine, it comes out of the mufflers, to 45* bends, and out. If you do it 90*, it has a better chance of coming back into the cab.

I always dump mine in front of the rear wheels. I never have any problem. But in my state there is a minimum distance from the exhaust outlet to the passenger compartment door. I would think you would only run into a problem with this on a 4 door car, and not a pickup, but it never hurts to cover all bases.

No problems here, I have the double 45deg setup on a reg cab long box. I have a good distance between the tire and pipe. On cold plowing nights the steam coming off the pipe shows me it trails out at a 45deg over the rear.
