99 Expedition Specs?
Hi everyone.
We recently purchased a used 1999 Expedition with 74,000 miles. It has the 4.6 and an automatic transmission. It is A4WD or whatever the All Wheel Drive abbreviation is and I was just wondering what tranny and transfer case along with front and rear axles I have.

The transmission is known as a 4R70W. It is the lighter duty of two automatic transmissions found on the 1999 model. In regard to axle ratio, the most common was 3.55 to 1. The two digit code for the axle ratio is found under the word AXLE as found on the vehicle certification label on the driver's door. Look for the code and publish it here.
