2003 Navigator Moans

My 2003 Navigator built late 2002 is the new generation but one of the early builds. I got it with the iX plan and it included 36,000 free maintainence. I really enjoy the vehicle but it has had more than its share of issues with some as yet unresolved. I am now considering whether to buy an extended warrenty or whether to consider the 2005 model, hoping that the bugs hineave been eradicated from the design.

Here are the issues

1. Brake Dust - unresolved
2. Air suspension compressor failure - repaired
3. ECU failure - repaired
4. Transmission growl - repaired
5. Diff whine - replaced but noise now returned
6. Electric mirrors jumping in reverese - repaired
7. Seat warmers not working - repaired
8. Door cladding noisy - not repaired
9. Excessive wind noise - not repaired
10. Rear passenger door rattles over bumps - not repaired
11. Transmission vibrates when slowing down thru 50 -30mph - not repaired
12. Clunking rattling sound sometimes on start up from under car - not repaired
13. Engine sounds like it has a metallic knocking under load - not repaired
14. CD failed - repaired
15. Too much intake roar for my liking - not resolved
16. Brakes vibrating

I am just coming up to 32000 miles and am trying to get most of these resolved at my next dealer visit, but I suspect I am going to continue to have niggling issues with it in the future. Has anyone driven the 05 model and does it seem any better built or more refined?

I have an 03 and the brake dust was resolved by replacing the breaks.
The Clunking rattling sound sometimes on start up from under car, I still have.
Will take it in for the mirrors on Tuesday. 19900 miles.

Oh one more thing, it is shaking at idle on drive now. Before you couldn't tell if the engine was running or not.
