Possible Electrial problem

Ok on my 1976 ford f100 when you steer one of the turn signals will turn on, or sometimes when you turn them off the blinker in the cab still goes but there are no lights on outside.

Sounds like there's something broken in the turn signal switch in the column causing it to bind while turning. That might also explain the mystery light function.
