Noisy Valve Cover?
Hi I gotta 77 F-100 with an original inline 300 4 bbl holley and 1990 EFI head and rockers and EFI exhaust manifolds
the bottom end aint quiet by any means but I think my (EFI head) rockers are hitting the (STOCK 1977) valve cover and adding to the noise
anyone ever see or worse HEAR this??
P.S. the noise is RPM sensetive
same noise with 10W30 as with 20W50

You are probably right, I have a chrome stamped steel cover that was supposed to fit the 300 through 94 or so and it doesn't fit my 90 because of the size of the rockers. The rockers are too large. A change in the rockers was made in the late 80s from stamped steel to cast half shaft rockers and they are larger. You need an EFI cover it is taller.
