2001 f-150 value
i was wondering if anyone here has had any problems with 2001 f-150's. i found one in my area and planned on keeping mine for another year but this thing is just to nice. its a regular cab with an auto and v-8. idont know which one though because the dealer was closed and the doors were locked. it has the 3/4 ton rear in it so im assuming its a 5.4. did these come with e4od's or aode's. im wondering what they will give me for my truck which is 98 reg. cab long bed with a 4.6 5 spd, 6 disc changer, xlt, 4x4, 4.10's power everything, and 60/40 seats. the other truck is an 01 power everything 4x4, v8 , auto, and its a flareside. is that a good way to tell though about the motor from the rearend thats in the truck? what do you guys think?

As far as values for both trucks got to www.kbb.com. Look up trade in on your truck and retail on the 2001. The vin# will have an L in it for the 5.4L. If it has the bigger rearend 9.75", then it is a 5.4L. The 3/4 ton actually uses a 10.25" rearend. They look similar. The tranny should be a 4R70W trans. It is an updated BETTER version of the AOD-E.

ok thanx. i forgot about that tranny. im just always sketchey about getting auto,s because they dont make them like they used to in my opinion. anyone know what hp was on the 98 4.6 and the 01 5.4?
