The front springs on my 150 are gettin weak. The front end is a little highter than a 2wd buy about 3 inches. and the Backend is about 5" higher than the front.
will 87' 350 Dually 2wd springs fit in place and raise it up a little?
I can get a set for cheap
i know that i can get replacement 1/2 ton springs at napa, here...don't know why you couldn't get them there, too...it seems like they were gonna run me about 100 bucks for the set, but don't quote me on it...i'd hafta check again to be sure...
yea i can get replacement
i can even get brand new set of stock springs for my truck for free
my truck has the HD front springs and shocks from the factory.
I would just like to have a little stiffer ride.
and a little lift if possible
ahhh...gotcha....hmmm....my best guess, is to measure the diameter of the current stock springs, and measure the springs you want to put in it, and if they're the same, they should go, i would think....worth a shot, anyway...good luck...
It depends on if the donor vehicle had a big block, A/C, etc. It also depends on how badly the front end of the donor truck sagged. If they are new springs, then you should get about 1" or so of lift to level the truck up, especially if you have a 300-6 or a small block.
Around here, we have our "favorite spring pile" I measure my springs diameter and go looking for longer springs if i want some lift. Not too much longer though, maybe an inch or 2 will give you a good start.
the truck is a crewcab with a 460 and a ZF5
so they should slip in place?
also i noticed that the rubber ring on the axle under the spring has decayed a little could that cause one end to sag?
