Accountable

The dealers know they had a vibration in the new f-150 they should be held
accountable just like Ford for selling the truck that had no fix.Not all the trucks
have a vibration and not all trucks on their lot had the vibration it's all about
MONEY

If Ford didnt care, do you think they would be issuing TSBs? They are trying to fix the problems. Do not think for a second this is a problem only on Fords shoulders. ALL automakers have problems in production. Do you have any technical questions to post in this thread? If not, its not long for life. Pure ranting gets us nowhere

I'am not saying ford is'nt trying to fix it I'am just saying that the dealers don't
have to sell that truck that has that vibration. I have a 2004 screw love it. Out
of all the trucks Ford sells the vibration is just a few when they first came out sure
the dealer did'nt know but they know now why sell it to someone and cause them
to deal with it.

It amazes me some people think this is a wide spread problem. With the large number of trucks produced I would bet the number of vehicles affected is small, we just hear more about the problem ones.
I for one, have had no problems of any kind with my new truck and could not be more satisfied. Maybe we need to hear more from the happy Ford customers?

If my post is misunderstood i'am sorry not trying to kick ford in the teeth all vehicle
have their recalls.Ford is trying to fix them and I'am sure it's just a hand full. All the fords I have owned have been great trucks just everyday ware and tear. But the dealer needs to keep the trucks that have the vibration tell ford finds a fix. when you give between 30-40k you don't want keep taking it back to have it worked on. Like
I said the dealer knows what they got

Once the dealer has a truck on their lot it starts costing them money. Basically they have to pay to have it there. They want to sell it as soon as possible.
Lots of people don't even feel a feel a vibration or shaking when their wheels are about to fall off, or driveshaft about to fall out because of a bad u-joint so they sure won't feel a little bit of a vibration caused by something else.
If I was buying a new truck I'd want to take it for a good long drive before I accepted it to make sure it felt good.

Concerning the last statement. FTE would be a pretty boring site if everyone just posted everything good about there trucks. You would basically be telling other Ford truck owners something they already knew. I personally like hearing about peoples problems then having someone chime in and give them a fix for it. That way if someone else had the same problem can read about it and fix it. People helping people is what this site is all about at least I thought it was. Just my two cents.

I have a new 2004 F150screw 4x4 with no vibrations yet and I'm keeping my fingers crossed (Only 300 miles on it). I'll bet Ford will zero in on it eventually and I know what is like to have a new truck with a prob (traded an 04 Z71 ext cab which slipped out of gear and slammed into first about once per month, so the dealer could not duplicate the prob). I remember there was something like this vibration prob on other Chevy trucks, maybe mid 90's and they finally found that a small number of trucks were vibrating and I think the fix was to bolt on some metal parts in various places of the front end A-arms and/or crosslink. The tech I talked to didn't know how it fixed it, but it did, maybe it changed some type of harmonics certain front ends would generate. THe one thing I noticed on this board is many of those with the Ford vibration issue traded their truck for another similar Ford. That said a lot to me when I decided to buy the F-150.
