Just Purchased a new F150 Supercab Friday XLT for my fishing charter/boat business that has no keypad entree. I see you can buy one online on the Ford f150online.com page... are they hard to install

Reason: Change
Sounds like you got the stick on unit, not the actual ford door handle with the keyless. Those tend to sell for about the same price on e-bay. Those you remove and replace your handle, hooking it to the factory harness.
You got the one that is actually a third 'fob' just in pad form with a combination. If I remember correctly, you have to program it like a new fob, doing all three 'fobs' at the same time.
I wish I could get one of those to work with a crimestopper keyless, but so far no luck.

50-80 on ebay. Installation is not hard. That's for either the OEM stick on keypad, or the built into the door handle keypad that uses your harness. Both only work if you have the ford keyless entry installed.
The stick on you could carry in your pocket, or install under the fender, etc.
The door handle you pull the panel off the door and swap the door handle. then you plug into the original harness and find the master code, hidden somewhere on your truck.
I don't have the ford brand keyless entry. I do want the touch pad entry, but I need one that will work with the crimestopper reciver.

Handy for keys in left in the ignition, also great when you go to the beach. I almost never want to dip my keys in salt water...
Hi Monsta, I have bid on two of them lately, one door handle went for 50 on a by it now, the other bid 62. Of course, you know ebay, may never see another one.

Links had problem, but these are the numbers.
Not sure I wouldn't prefer the stick on, you can put it where you want, and it's easier.
