Hmmm. Looking through old pics, here's a couple of the trans crossmember I bought for my '93, pics taken in 2008 when I could still buy it.

Notice in the pic above, that brand-new, the bushing's inner isn't centered, it's biased so that when the trans' weight is on it, it will deflect toward centered.
And the trans mount I replaced at the same time.
