Stumped
When I start it on cold damp mornings, it will high idle fine. But, when I kick it down the idle drops well below curb and lopes badly. It will barely run untill it is warmed up into the normal temp. range. If I try to drive off before it's warmed up. It will hesitate and bog down. After it is fully warmed up it runs ok for the rest of the day. Had the dealer adjust floats twice but still no help. It also seems to lack power and stumbles when I get on the throttle.
Choke operation is normal. The PO put headers and, I think, cherry bombs on for more power. Timing is normal, vac advance working. I'm stumped.

...MOVED.....
Every Ford truck I have (and had) does this if you don't connect up the warm air tube from the exhaust manifold to the underside of the air filter snorkle.
That's what it's there for!
In your case you have to get one made for headers or, run it for 5 minutes, shut it off for another 5 (long enough for the motor heat to melt the ice in the carb) restart and the problem is gone.
Good luck!

PS. Don't go back to that dealer!
