does anyone know if there are inline fuse on the 2001 ford escape? Radio was fine the night before. I have checked all the fuses from the book. Everything else in the Escape works fine. It has no power at all. The night before we had 22 inches of snow and I went out the next morning and turned on the defroster to help get the snow off the windshield. I was wondering if it got so hot in there that I blew something. Please help!!!!!!!

I've never heard of one on the Escapes and my Chilton's manual doesn't say anything about it (2001-2003 models). Just use an extract tool (or make one by forming a u-shape out of metal clothers hangers per Chilton) to pull the radio. All that plugs on the backside is the antenna and the large wiring connector. Elsewhere, I've heard where a few radios just die but it's rare. It wouldn't take much to upgrade from the factor radio. If you have the non-Mach system then less than $100.
