manual transmission

Does anybody know how many 2002 Explorers were manufactured with the 5-speed manual transmission? Out of how many produced all together? Thank you.

You'd probably have to lob Ford an e-mail for numbers like that. I'm betting less than 25% of Exploders were stickshifters in any given year.

I'd probably say 25-30 as well in the percent range. People are just too lazy for them. (Wish the mountaineer came with stick.

)

Thanks so far...I actually thought the figure would be a lot lower (I've seen several articles mentioning the consumer demand for manual transmissions and the figures always seem to be in the 5% range). It is a shame, though, that they're going by the wayside. I imagine relatively soon they will be all but unavailable.
