Air Blower question

My parents got me a 2000 Sunfire this last fall. I have a question about the blower. I have it set to blow out of the front vents, but when I turn the speed control to 1 or 2, it does nothing. When I turn it up to 3 it blows fine. Then if I turn it back down, still nothing. Its not like it's sluggish or anything on the lower speeds, you can't feel ANY air coming out the vents. Any ideas?? I don't know much about cars, the only thing I figured was the motor.

There is a resistor under the hood in the heater plenum that is used for your blower motor speeds. Sounds like it has a few burned elements. Should be available at your local auto parts store.
