Captians Chair troubles

I have a 99 F-350 with the leather Captains chairs with the middle console.
1) does anyone else have the problem with the armrest that pulls down for the driver not fitting your arm?? It's like it's too short.. anyway-- that and the guy who owned it before me must of leaned on it alot because the whole seat slants towards the middle.. has anyone replaces this seat and/or arm rest?. can you order them new thru Ford???
2) the middle console has one big storage compartment on the front top side.. I have seen some excurisions that actually has a dual cup holder built into the top/front.. anyone know if those are orderable as well.. our local Ford shop is not interested in looking items up for me

so any help you can throw my way would be good...

I agree, the armrest is a little too short. My console has the dual cup holders on it ('05), but I wish it went all the way to the dashboard.

I wonder if the 05 cupholder would fit my 99 console.. I will try another Ford shop.. you'd think somebody could do some checking for me... thank-you...

For the center console you could try ebay they have them on there for about 70bucks sometimes...I have an 02 an my console has the cup holders but i removed it and added a center seat. As for the armrest there is a pin that holds it parallel to the floor if it is bent that could be the cause for your leaning armrest.

You can get the two cup holder part for your center console. I'm trying to decide what to do with regards to cup holders. The in-dash ones suck and I don't really want to use the center console tray for cup holders as it is real convenient for holding other things.

thanks Jim.. good to know.. yes.. my indash cup holders suck.. they only have little foam fingers that are suppose to hold your drink.. they tip over and fall out all the time.. I need the kind that have the side arms that pull out to help hold stuff in.. I agree.. my cell phone goes in the center console tray too
