changing speedo cable, right?! laid plastic speedo gear on ground. dog dug out w/ it(i swear). been trying to locate this rascal. there are apparently many different sizes and shapes that (according to sales guy at dealer) could fit my truck. i've tried 3 different ones at $15 a pop. i can't recall what the original looked like, you see.
does anyone know where i could find a picture of the proper gear for my old ride? appreciate any suggestions.
Which colors & directions have you tried? I used to collect them at junkyards when I still had that type of speedo, and I may still have a few somewhere.
That parts guy must be a real jerk to make you keep buying parts, and charging you double for them. They should be only ~$8 ea and he should have a book that shows the correct number of teeth for each tire/axle combination.
