Exterior Visor question
Wow, 2 post since I signed up.
I am thinking about putting on a Lund visor for the exterior of my 2001 Super Duty. I had one on another truck and it made a lot of noise and the wipers didnt work worth a darn.
Does anyone have a visor on a Super Duty? and if so, would you do it again?
Does it really decrease your mileage?
I really like the lighted visor but need some advice

The visor will affect your mileage. It changes the aerodynamics of the vehicle. It also creates noise and doesn't help the windshield wipers either. If you decide to get one anyway, get a vented one (or better yet save the money for performance upgrades). ;-)

I TOTALY DISAGREE, granted it WILL change the areodynamics, but seriously we are talking about a 7,000# brick, these things have nothing for aerodynamics, and a little visor won't affect it.
look at my pics, the FIRST thing was a visor, even before mods. I bought the truck i got 14-15 mpg if i was nice, now I can pull a 20 on the freeway, with the visor, racerback, window vents, 4;10's AND the tail gate up, which everyone says makes your milage go down it doesn't, it keeps crap in the box.
the visor does whistle a little if i am in just the right wind angle, it's really weird, the window vents added the most noise. my wipers work just fine, don't know what thats all about???
Yes, I do have a different style truck then yours, but I have not noticed any milage decrease, maybe at 100 the aerodynamics suck, and it does howl, but I don't care, I look good doing it,
and thats what visors are all about.
