Need Help, Service engine soon light???
I serviced my truck before I left for Alberta 6 months ago and came back to Service engine soon light on my truck, it has not moved or done anything since I left!! What is up with this?? What should I do? It does not need a service I know that, I am confused is there a time period in the computer that will trigger this?? Anyways I could go on for ever. Any help would be appriated.

That is strange, is your battery at full strength? I would reset the computer to dump the service light and see if it comes back after using it for a while (I'm assuming you are going to be using it again??) Maybe the gas went bad??
If it does come back on, do you have a place to scan and see what code is showing??

Thanks for all the info, from the sounds of it I going to making a trip to Terrace to get it scanned. I have been told that if i reset the computer and the light comes back on that I might lose info that might be needed to correct to problem.

If it was mine I'd probably chance it and reset it. Then if the light comes back you could get it scanned. If it doesn't come back on then it was probably just something caused by the truck sitting and nothing to worry about.
I don't know if you deal with Snow Valley at all but they can scan it for you too just so you know what caused the light to come on.

Just my .02 cents but i do not like snow valley, they didn't treat me with any respect when I was looking to buy, that is why I went with Totem. But anyways I go reset it and see what happens. I'll let you all know what the results are.

Well, I reset the computer yesterday, and the light did not come back on. I hope this will not do any damage if there was any problem. Niether here nor there, thanks for all the help. Hopefully this is the last time i see this problem, I baby her and hate to see her get upset like that.
