now that i finally have my flat bed on and wired up when i have my parking lights or headlights on my abs light comes on when i hit the brake pedal. my right turn/stop light works the way it should but the left turn stop stays bright when then lights are on and functions normally when lights are off. checked and double checked and checked again to make sure all connections where correct they are. and likei said it works just fine with the headlights off. i have LED lights in the back of the bed wondering of lack of current draw could cause this?? its got me stumped and frustrated.....
i still cant figure out where the light green wire that comes out of the plug at the back of the truck that went to the truck box goes and the plug that has two wires going to it......
ok abs light is just a coincendence only came on when hit hard bump made it think low brake fluid.....connections are the same that you listed still have bright left when lights on when there off its fine. whats that other plug for???2 wires in it??
barebackjake it is possible when the flat bed was installed the wiring harness that goes to the back of the truck may have been damaged have you checked for any cut or shorted wires causing the abs light to come on?
i didnt even connect to that plug with only the two wires just left it there. checked wiring going back to the cab its all ok. like i said the thing that stumps me is its fine when the park/head lights are not on. its a 97 F250HD 4x4 supercab white.....and i double checked that brake and marker light wire were not crossed.
well on the good side the flat bed came out pretty good i will have pics soon. gonna non slip the deck just need to finish filler necks got sent the wrong ones.

bareback' , it's a ground problem . It's grounding through the brake light which causes it to light , fix the ground and it will work fine . Most ( not all ) lighting problems are bad grounding .
