What is platinum edition?
I am looking to replace my 2004 XL front bumper with an all chrome bumper. I was told that the chrome bumper has holes to snap in gray valance on lower half of bumper. Then I see a platinum bumper offered also at various web sites for 2001 and 2002. Was this all chrome? Looking for all chrome bumper, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

there are two chrome bumpers. check out partstrain.com, part F010903 looks to be chrome without the plugs for the valance, $249. http://www.partstrain.com/ShopByDepa...ml?id=Q4S4JAWa. try that link, you just need to use all your existing parts to attach the bumper to the truck

Platinum Edition SD. They were introduced model year 2000 and 2001 I think. Kinda like the Lariat LE models. Special paint, interior leather, and interior trim, they are really nice and hard to come by.

The platinum edition is just a Lariat with many extra's like the Harley Edition. I have one and the bumper is just chrome front and back. It should be the same bumper as the Lariat XLT. Hope this helps!!

Sorry, but I just remembered that it has a black plastic cover over the chrome, where one might step, sort of like an anti-slip piece of plastic on the top..
