Transaxle problems??
We own a 2001 Escape. We've had it for about 8 months and it has about 12,000 miles on it. We are having to have the transaxle/transmission replaced. :-(

I was just curious to know if anyone else has had similar problems.

Transaxle problems??
I assume you have the V6 with the automatic. Is yours 2WD or AWD? If AWD, are you sure it's the trans and not the AWD/rear differential unit?

Yes, we have the V6 AWD. The transmission is being replaced.
