Have them powder coated. I'm not sure of the process but colors would be nice.

The new ones won't look any better than the old...the shiny ones you've seen are stock ones that have been coated.

You're probably thinking of HeatStroked's truck...why not shoot him a PM.

Thumbs up Intercooler Pipes

paramedic624; What I have done in the past with aluminum is to use some wet & dry sandpaper (very fine 1500 grit) to clean off any imperfections as best you can and use a good aluminum (Mag) polish. It does a great job with minimal $$ investment (a little sweat equity) and holds up very well. People always ask if I had them coated or chromed... I use on the aluminum tubing that is under the hood too (A/C tubing, etc..) Have fun!!!

thanks for the replies guys, appreciate it.

Does anyone have any links for these pipes already done up, ready to buy online? sites? I still wonder if new oem pipes would look good......

okay---dumb question here.....sorry........ What is in these intercooler pipes......just 'cooler' air---correct???? I can just disconnect those fittings and remove these pipes without any special handling????

thanks again

Intercooler Pipes

paramedic624; they are a channel for the air flow through the intercooler, no special handling requirements, just ensure the clamps are tight when you are finished....
