hey guys, anyone on here change there stock-dirty-faded silver intercooler pipes with nice new ones???? I wanna spice up my engine comp, seen a pic on here of someones with nice shiny silver pipes and looked sweet,,,tried cleaning------anyone have part #'s,,,pics????
paramedic624; What I have done in the past with aluminum is to use some wet & dry sandpaper (very fine 1500 grit) to clean off any imperfections as best you can and use a good aluminum (Mag) polish. It does a great job with minimal $$ investment (a little sweat equity) and holds up very well. People always ask if I had them coated or chromed... I use on the aluminum tubing that is under the hood too (A/C tubing, etc..) Have fun!!!
Does anyone have any links for these pipes already done up, ready to buy online? sites? I still wonder if new oem pipes would look good......
okay---dumb question here.....sorry........ What is in these intercooler pipes......just 'cooler' air---correct???? I can just disconnect those fittings and remove these pipes without any special handling????
paramedic624; they are a channel for the air flow through the intercooler, no special handling requirements, just ensure the clamps are tight when you are finished....
