Lately i've been looking for ways of picking the front end of my Ranger up. Right now i just have a 3 inch body lift, but i want the front end to sit up higher than the back.....so i've been looking at spindles and possibly upper control arms with new coil springs. But my question is....do all 2000 2wd Rangers come with upper control arms to begin with?? Because it looks like my Ranger already has them. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.
Yes they all have upper control arms. How do you plan on using the truck? Daily driver probably, but do you plan on jumping it a lot or just sitting higher with dirt roads every now and then? If you don't want to spend a lot of money, you could get slightly taller springs in front, or get lift spindles (which is what I would probably do). It won't change the suspension, just moves the wheels down 3". Plus it looks pretty cool with that much clearance under the front end.

I don't plan on doing any jumping, but like you said mainly sitting higher with dirt roads and mountain terrain every now and then. Obviously taller springs in the front would probably been the least expensive of the 2, but would taller springs make the ride crappy?? i mean if it stiffens it up a little bit i wouldn't mind, but if it's going to be super noticeable then i'm not so sure. a shop near where i live says they can install new spindles for 575 total. What do you guys think i should go with. Budget is sort of a factor since i really want to change my tire/wheel package. Thanks for any advice given.
