first off im just wondering if this is even possible. the company i plan on ordering my engine from iswww.strokermotor.com and im wondering if this engine will fit into the engine compartment of the 92 f-150. i also plan on doing a complete tranny replacement.
I assume you are looking at the windsor stroker (351w stroked to 393) yes that will fit that truck was offered factory with a 351w, and the stroker is the same block, it's even a bolt in swap the motor mounts, bellhousing, and accerry mounts are the same between those engines. the main thing is all the manifolds, and dist are different, and yea I would buy the long block if you reuse your 302 jheads you will have to drill out the bolt holes to 1/2 to bolt them to the block, plus you should go through them anyway so I would buy the heads already set up for the engine.
know as far as intake ect you need to say what your plans are if you are keeping the FI that is a whole nuther game, and will need to rework that stuff but for bolting it in no problem
maybe you could help me i need to swap out the engine in a 96 f-250 it has a 7.5L 460 cu inch can I swap that with a 4.9L straight 6 300 cu inch and the transmissions line up

First off, welcome aboard!
Secondly, you will be sadly dissappointed, unless of course, you just plan to get groceries in the truck . The 460 trans will not work with the I6, you will need to use a small block bellhousing trans to mate to the 300.
The 393 will make you think you have a new truck! There is a world of difference in power. Is this truck a 4x4? If it is and your planning on running oversize tires to go with your new found power, you should look at getting different axles to hold up to the abuse, I have the 393 in my 94 and its getting new, larger axles here next week.
