Oil sensor

I work with a guy that seems to think he knows everything about anything and he was telling me that the 97 and up 7.3's do not have a low oil shut off. Do I need to give him credit for knowing something or help him get his foot to his mouth?

There is not an oil level sensor that will shut the engine off, but the fuel injectors are oil fired, so if the oil level were low enough the engine would still die.
