On my 1980 F350 there is a leak in the rear brake line somewhere. I've checked it a couple times and i haven't found a place where it is broken. It's just a small leak because I have to add fluid to the resivior every once in a while. What should I do?
yeh check there cuz my 84 go through them like you wouldnt believe
If you go through them alot you should probably check the diameter of your brake drums, because that is usually causd from the piston extending to far, and either ripping the ruber seal, or comming out of the cylinder. Atleast that is what I would say is the reason if they were disk, I have not done much on drums, but I would assume the same thing is possible.
check between the master cylinder and booster for a leaky master seal this usually shows up as a dribble track on the booster check rear brake adjustment frozen self adjusters will cause the rear brake cylinders to have excess travel and they will leak another place to look is along the frame for rust brakelines
