Molding Paint job?

Molding Paint job?
I have seen a few places that have painted the Molding to match the rest of the escape.
I have talked to a few body shops and they all dont recomended it/say it wont work/etc/etc....
but obviously it does...
anyone have some information on how it can be done correctly?
kind of like the escape @www.waag.com... except i want mine to be black.....

97 explorer xlt AWD v8 blue
91 f-250 xlt lariat 4x4 blue/gray
84 ranger xlt 4x4 black
94 explorer xlt 4x4 purple/gray
96 explorer limited 4x4 green
JUST HAVE TO SAND DOWN WELL THAN PRIMER THAN PAINT THAT SIMPAL
did it on my 01 sport trac u know that ugly gray well its now painted silver very simal if done right

I have a 2002 Escape that was painted from the factory, all black mouldings, bumper, etc. it can be done because the new door mouldings dont come painted when you order them, they are a paint to match component, just be sure to use flex paint made for mouldings and bumpers when it is done!
