Well here's my situation. It all started with my dome light not going off for about 20 minutes 'after' I left my '95 Ranger 3.0, and has continued with my parking lights, instrument panel lights, and brake lights(all at the same time) now not working at all!
I've done a visual check on the fuses and at a glance they look fine, but I need to know if anyone with knowldge reading this knows what I have to do to fix it?
My Ranger is well maintained, only has 70,000 miles and has had no major problems. I don't know if this is a major problem or not, but I sure need some help.
I would begin by looking at the parking and brake lights first. I'd use a voltmeter to look for 12 volts and the ohm meter to make sure the ground was good.
i am not a qualified technician so u can only take this as a suggestion have u found out where the lights all conect into maybe there is rust or a loose connection???? thats my thought....
I'm thinking there is a chassis harness ground that is undone somewhere.
Of course, 95 being OBD2 and me not looking at the Haynes rightnow....there could be a bad fuse/relay in the underhood box, but I'm not sure what all is in the 95 models...
I don't seem much in common with all these lights not working. You will have to try to fix each one and maybe they will all link up somewhere to a common trouble but I don't see it. Get a wiring diagram and start with the simplest circuit (brakes) and go from there.

A lot of this is over my head to be honest, but I will try to figure out what you guys are saying and apply some of it. I do have a haynes and my mechanic is back today so hopefully I can accomplish something. Don't stop giving ideas, all are welcome.
I have the exact same problem in my 99. The quick fix for the dome light is spray some WD40 in the door latches on both sides, which should make the dome light go out. Repeat that process everytime you change your oil and it should work for a while. The only other fix I know for that is to replace the sensors which 1. is a MAJOR pain in the ****, and 2. isnt going to keep it from happening again.
As far as the instrument panel, I would be likely to believe your bulbs are burned out. Mine are out from the fuel and water temp gauges to halfway across the speedometer. Again, a pain to change even if you do know how.
My biggest problem is why ford hasnt made a fixed this seeing as its been happening for like 15 years.
