I HAVE A QUESTION, THE PUMP IN THE INJECTION SYSTEM FOR THE INJECTORS USE HIGH PRESSURE OIL ,I GET THAT PART I'M USED TO THE OLD 7.3IDI'S.I'VE BEEN READING THAT THE REGULATORS GO OUT & FORD WILL REPLACE THE WHOLE PUMP ,IS THAT REALLY NEEDED,OR CAN YOU JUST REPAIR IT ? CAT USES THE SAME SET UP ON THE LARGER ENGINES AND SOME CAN BE REPAIRED .IS THIS THE SAME WAY?ANY INFO? THANKS!
i apologize again! i'm still new to the site and somewhat computer dumb!!! bythe way will that pressure regulator set up you have on your truck work on a95 psd? thanks
You could plumb in an external regulator to yours, but you already have a full flow return, so you can adjust your fuel pressure by simply shimming the stock regulator.
You are correct, we were talking oil system, but the only external pressure regulator visible in my gallery is my fuel pressure regulator, so I assumed we switched to fuel.
