Thanks I have a F250 4x4 6.0 made in april 04. A time or two it has ben slow two engage after I backed up and put it in drive. I will call my dealer tomorrow and post what I find out.
Keep in mind that Ford is a little slow...they will probably send out recall notices.
I just bought my daughter an '05 Escape yesterday and today (according to the news) Ford came out with a recall on the rear hatch (door) not closing properly on '01 thru '05. Went to the Ford web site, put in the VIN and it stated there are no recalls.
Go figure.
Wouldn't know which build date they are referring to but again, go to the Ford web site. There is an area there that you can plug in your VIN and it will tell you if there are any recalls on that VIN.
I'd give it a few days though. May be slow getting the database loaded due to holidays.
