Power Stroke Cold Start Problems

The coolant temp sensor will tell the PCM what temperature the engine coolant is, true enough. I do not see how this will keep the engine from starting - it will start as a cold engine or as a warm engine.
If you are having cold start problems posting a few symptoms may help.
If you are smoking white while cranking and belching a lot of white smoke when it finally fires you probably have glow plug system issues. If you plug the engine heater in for a couple hours and it starts OK that is even stronger evidence of glow plug system problems.
